Job Summary

Start Date: ASAP, but flexible for the perfect fit.

Hours:

• Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM–5:30 PM and Friday 7:00 AM–1:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 180 hours per 4-week period (approx. 45 hours/week)
• Through early December, the family is open to part-time or flexible scheduling, with a preference for around 35 hours per week.

Hourly Rate: $27-33, overtime pay (1.5x’s) for anything above 40 hours a week

Children: 6-week-old baby

Pets: 3 cats

Paid Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation of nanny’s choice, 3 sick or personal days & all major holidays, including the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve

Requirements: MMR, TDaP & Flu vaccines required; Covid vaccine (boosters not required)

Responsibilities and Duties

• WHO/WHAT:  Do you melt a little when a newborn wraps her tiny fingers around yours? Can you picture yourself humming lullabies while sunlight filters into a cozy home filled with warmth? If so, we might’ve just found your next family.

  This lovely couple are navigating their first season of parenthood with curiosity, humor, and plenty of coffee. Their six-week-old daughter has already turned their world delightfully upside down, and they’re ready to welcome a nurturing, steady nanny who can help them find their rhythm. Your days will revolve around all things baby: feeding, changing, cuddling, and gently guiding her through early milestones. When she’s awake, you’ll read and sing; when she naps, you’ll tackle light household tasks like baby laundry, bottle washing, vacuuming, and tidying up. The cats (who consider themselves part of the team) just need their food and water refilled once a week. Both parents value communication and consistency — they’ll keep you in the loop and appreciate the same in return. They deeply value reliability and trust. They’re also realistic: life with a newborn doesn’t always go according to plan. Flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor will make you shine here.

  Because mom is working hard to soak up every fleeting bit of babyhood, on days she comes home early she’d love for you to take the lead on household tasks so she can enjoy those snuggly, once-in-a-lifetime moments with her girl — without feeling torn between bottles in the sink and time on the play mat. They hope to establish a simple rhythm where you can occasionally stay late for regular date nights about twice a month— helping this new mom and dad keep their own connection front and center while navigating that incredible first year together. They plan to stay in Pittsburgh for at least the next 2.5 years and hope to find someone who will grow with their family through the giggles, the first steps, and all the beautiful chaos in between.

Requirements and Benefits

• Nanny must have a driver's license, vehicle, and a clean driving record

• Nanny MUST have previous nanny experience for a minimum of 2 years.
