Job Title: Snow Shoveler / Snow Removal Laborer (Seasonal, On-Call) Location: Southeast Connecticut (New London County & surrounding areas – Groton , New london , Waterford , East Lyme, Old Lyme, etc.) Job Type

• Part-time / Seasonal (November – March)
• On-call (you are called/texted the night before or early morning when snow is forecast)

Job Summary We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our snow removal crew for commercial properties in southeast Connecticut. Work is weather-dependent and can mean very early mornings (3–6 AM starts), late nights, or long days during big storms. Perfect part-time winter cash for students, retirees, landscapers, or anyone who likes being outside and doesn’t mind hard physical work. Responsibilities

• Hand-shovel sidewalks, steps, walkways, and tight areas where plows can’t reach
• Clear snow from around cars, mailboxes, fire hydrants, and dumpster areas
• Spread ice melt/salt as needed
• Show up on time, dressed properly, and ready to work in cold, snowy conditions
• Communicate clearly with crew leader

Requirements

• Must be 18+ with reliable transportation to the main job site (many calls are 4–6 AM; own vehicle strongly preferred)
• Able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and shovel for several hours at a time
• Comfortable working in extreme cold, wind, snow, and ice for extended periods
• Must have proper winter gear: waterproof boots, heavy gloves, hat, layers, etc.
• Reliable cell phone that can receive texts/calls at odd hours
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic – storms don’t wait!
• Previous shoveling, landscaping, or construction experience helpful but not required – we’ll train the right person

Preferred (but not required)

• Own snow shovel and/or backpack blower
• Live within 20–30 minutes of the /Groton/New London area
• Available for almost every storm (the more storms you work, the more you make)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record a plus

Pay & Benefits

• $30 per hour (paid same week)
• Opportunity to move into plow truck driver or crew leader roles next season if you prove reliable
