Job Description

Our client is a fast-growing, high-performance manufacturer in the Louisville area, and they are seeking a Plant Manager who thrives on building great teams, driving continuous improvement, and turning data into results. This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role where you will shape culture, modernize operations, and leave a lasting footprint on the organization.

This is not a “keep the lights on” role. We are looking for a transformational leader who understands that hitting production numbers only matters when the systems, people, and processes behind them are strong, scalable, and improving every day.

Our client is offering a competitive salary at $130-$150k based on experience with annual increases and performance-based bonus. Full benefits, including 401(k) match, medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life, short- and long-term disability and PTO

Highlighted Duties:

You will lead and optimize all manufacturing operations, including production, scheduling, quality, inventory, shipping & receiving, maintenance, and capital projects. You will build the systems, metrics, and people needed to drive performance today and scale for tomorrow.

  • Own and drive the production schedule , developing junior team members into strong, capable schedulers.
  • Use KPIs, electronic labor rosters, and sales forecasts to align labor and resources to demand.
  • Track machine uptime and work closely with operators, maintenance, and OEMs to improve reliability.
  • Lead and sustain Lean / TPS systems , including high-level Kaizen events.
  • Implement technical and process innovation across the plant floor and in the ERP system.
  • Build and maintain systems that measure, manage, and continuously improve quality.
  • Own inventory, job costing, and product family cost —and the systems behind them.
  • Use financial statements and cost data to improve operational decision making.
  • Develop cross-training programs and create a strong internal bench of future leaders.
  • Provide clear, timely, and actionable feedback to your leadership team.

Highlighted Requirements:

  • 7+ years in Plant Manager or senior manufacturing leadership roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • Proven track record implementing Lean / TPS in a production environment.
  • Experience with capital projects, equipment maintenance, and manufacturing automation or innovation.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, job costing, and inventory control.
  • Military experience a plus.
  • Seeking a data driven Manager strong in Excel.

This company is investing in its future—its equipment, systems, and most importantly, its people. You will have real authority, real resources, and real support to build something exceptional.
