This role blends administrative and clinical responsibilities, offering an opportunity to work closely with patients and families while supporting the pediatric care team. Responsibilities: - Welcome patients and families warmly, ensuring a positive and efficient experience. - Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, including insurance verification and collecting payments. - Maintain and update electronic health records with accuracy and confidentiality. - Organize and manage patient flow to optimize efficiency in the office. - Assist the pediatric care team with various administrative tasks. - Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for visits. - Record vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure with precision. - Gather essential patient information, including medical history updates and allergy confirmations. - Ensure examination rooms are cleaned and restocked promptly between appointments. - Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a secure environment. Requirements - Proven experience in a medical office setting or similar role. - Familiarity with receptionist duties and administrative tasks. - Basic understanding of medical terminology. - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems. - Strong communication and customer service skills. - Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. - Comfort working in a pediatric environment and interacting with children. - Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare standards.
