Join our dynamic team in the Microbiology Lab Assistant where you'll perform fast-paced and repetitive laboratory support functions. This role is focused on support tasks rather than performing analysis, making it ideal for individuals who thrive in a structured and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and dispose of hazardous waste, comprising 25-33% of the role, approximately 2 hours a day.
• Sterilize and wash containers and glassware to maintain laboratory cleanliness.
• Organize and receive all lab supplies, stock shelves, and manage inventory.
• Register samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Participate in sample preparation training to develop further skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree is NOT required but beneficial for those comfortable in a longer-term lab support role.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a laboratory setting.

Work Environment

The role is 100% laboratory-based, operating within an outsourced microbiology testing lab environment certified by ISO standards. This controlled setting aims to prevent contamination and involves wearing full smocks, lab glasses, lab shoes, jeans, and lab coats, akin to a low-level clean room. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 10:30 am to 7 pm, with some flexibility on start and end times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
