DUTIES: Analyze, originate, structure, and execute strategic and financial sponsor-led investment banking transactions across the full spectrum of investment banking product offerings, including M&A, debt capital markets and equity capital markets. Partner with analysts in the region, acting as a day-to-day lead on projects, including coordination, review, and making corrections to analysts' work. Conduct business and financial diligence on clients' potential buyout investments, existing portfolio companies, and exit strategies including various pro forma capital structures, operating scenarios, and acquisition assumptions by building dynamic financial models, including merger models, leveraged buyout models, and discounted cash flow analysis. Advise strategic and financial sponsor clients throughout the life cycle of their investments, from target idea generation to deal execution and exit. Develop confidential information memorandums, investment teasers, committee documents, sales presentations, and lender presentations, including public presentations and private supplements. Maintain client relationships with strategic and financial sponsor clients. Assist with overseeing project management both externally with clients and internally within the firm and among deal teams, ensuring that work streams are on track to be delivered correctly and on time. Lead both on-boarding and ongoing training of junior analysts. Up to 10% domestic travel required to client sites and JPMC offices for business meetings. REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Investment Banking Associate, Financial Analyst, Investment Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Investment Banking Associate, Financial Analyst, Investment Analyst, or related occupation. This position requires experience with the following: Conducting financial analysis of financial statements, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and Compliance Certificates for companies in the Consumer and Retail sector; Analyzing public financial disclosures, including of U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting methodology; Analyzing financial models, including Merger models, Leveraged Buyout models, and Discounted Cash Flow analysis; Project management of M&A transactions throughout the life cycle of strategic and financial sponsor's ownership of a company, including buy-side advisory, sell-side advisory, and strategic alternatives processes; Project management of debt capital markets transactions throughout the life cycle of strategic and financial sponsor's ownership of a company, including raising leveraged loans, high yield bonds to finance leveraged buyouts, and add-on M&A transactions; Project management of equity capital markets transactions throughout the life cycle of strategic and financial sponsor's ownership of a company, including raising equity capital through IPOs and FPOs; Conducting due diligence and financial analysis for businesses across industry coverage groups, including consumer and retail, diversified industries, energy and power, financial institutions, healthcare, real estate and lodging, technology, and media and communications; Developing investment strategies using FactSet and Bloomberg.
